Taylor swift westboro baptist church, The Westboro Baptist Church has launched a verbal attack on Taylor Swift by describing her as the "whorish face of doomed America".

The fundamentalist Christian group has a history of picketing concerts by US artists, with Radiohead and Foo Fighters being past victims of their attention-seeking hatred, and the Huffington Post reports that they are now planning on protesting Swift's show at the Sprint Center in Kansas next month (August 3).

TaylorSwift13 works her 'girl next door' country-singer shtick, while hopping from one young man to the next and strutting across the world stage like a proud whore," the church wrote in a press release.

They then went on to criticise Swift's father, adding: "He has no compunction about her immodest vulgar appearance or serial fornication. With a hating hypocrite for a dad – who will jealously guard her income, while not giving a thought for her never-dying soul – no wonder she grew up to be the poster child for the young whores of doomed-america."

Swift has yet to respond to the group's statement. In May of this year, the Westboro Baptist Church announced plans to picket the memorial service of Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman, prompting the band to tell their fans: "Want to really piss off the Westboro Baptist Church at Jeff's Memorial Celebration? Do exactly what Slayer members and family are going to do - totally ignore them. They don't exist. And then come inside and celebrate Jeff's life with us."

Swift released her debut album, 'Red', in October 2012. Earlier this month, she performed onstage with The Rolling Stones when she duetted with Mick Jagger at a gig in Chicago - scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to watch.
