The 31-year-old "Home Alone" star recently denied reports that he is dying and addicted to various drugs through his representatives, who slammed the rumors as "impossibly and ridiculously fictitious." However, Kit and Jeanette still fear that Culkin may be "heavily into drugs" according to The Sun U.K.
"Kit has seen the photo. But he can't talk about it. He just can't, because it hurts him too much. Of course he's worried, he's incredibly concerned," Jeanette told The Sun. "When I saw the photos I thought, 'Oh no, this is not good. Either he's dying of some disease or he's heavily into drugs.'"
Recent photos of Culkin strolling the streets of his native home New York showed him looking disheveled, pale and clenching his stomach as if he were going to vomit. These photographs prompted Jeanette to speak out.
"Now we're hearing he is denying the allegations- but it certainly looks like he is on drugs. He looks awful," she said.
At the age of 14, Culkin had his parents lgeally blocked from controlling his multi-million dollar fortune during their custody battle. This permanently estranged him from Kit, who now lives in Arizona.
The explosive claims that Culkin is addicted to heroin and prescription drugs come just six months after a series of troubling photographs showing the actor looking gaunt and unwell surfaced online. Although he was once praised for his adorable looks as a child, he appeared to be skeletal and unwell in the viral photos and a friend claims to have an explanation for his bizarre new look.
"Macaulay Culkin is surely dying. He's addicted to heroin, oxycodone, Percocet and Vicodin. I have witnessed his drug taking, which has escalated over the past year and a half to the point where he needs serious help," an alleged second friend told The National Enquirer.
Sources claim that Culkin's alleged drug use has spiraled out of control following his public split from actress Mila Kunis, who has since moved on with Ashton Kutcher. His reported career woes have also been blamed for his supposed battle with addiction.
