Police said Saturday that Subhanna Beyah was arrested on fugitive from justice charges in Queens, N.Y. The 25-year-old was arraigned early Sunday on the fugitive warrant. She was in custody and not immediately available for comment.
Police say Beyah was wanted for multiple larcenies where jewelry and cash were taken. CBS Miami reports Beyah was one of four women identified last week by the Broward Sheriff's Office who they believe picked men up at upscale bars and restaurants, went home with them and then drugged them in order to steal their money and jewelry.
Police identified one victim as Shaun Rogers, a defensive tackle for the New York Giants. In March, Rogers reported $400,000 worth of missing jewelry from a hotel safe in Miami.
According to CBS New York, Rogers' stolen items included: $100,000 diamond earrings; $160,000 wristwatches; $50,000 gold necklace with gold pendant; $60,000 worth of gold bracelets and a diamond necklace worth $70,000.
A Giants spokesman declined to comment.
Another of the suspects, 27-year-old Keshia Clark, turned herself in to the Miami-Dade Police Department last Thursday.
