The troubled actress is set to reveal all in an eight-part documentary series for US chat show host Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network.
According to US gossip site TMZ Lindsay has been in talks for four months to finalise the deal which will see her discussing her struggles, career and future plans in depth.
Lindsay reportedly signed the deal to make the show during her stay at the Betty Ford rehabilitation centre before she relocated to the Cliffside Clinic last month.
She will complete 90 days of court-ordered rehab treatment in August as part of a plea deal to avoid jail after lying about driving a car during an accident in 2012.
She has allegedly told friends she won’t carry on for a day more than she has to at the Cliffside Malibu rehab centre despite worried doctors begging her to sign up for at least another 30 days.
